The Power of the Morning
How you spend the first hour of your day often dictates how you will spend the rest of it. By intentionally carving out time for mindfulness before the rush begins, you anchor yourself in the present moment.
Step 1: Wake Up Gently
Instead of a jarring alarm, try using a light-based alarm clock or a gentle, escalating sound. Give yourself a few moments to simply lie in bed and notice your breath before reaching for your phone.
Step 2: Hydrate and Move
Drink a large glass of water to rehydrate your body. Follow this with 5-10 minutes of gentle stretching or yoga. This helps to wake up your physical body and connect your mind to your physical sensations.
